The Young Music Teacher Zhou xia Hold Her Erhu Solo Concert in Japan

August, 3rd, the young music teacher Zhou xia hold her erhu solo concert in Tedako of Urasoe, Okinawa, Japan. The Chinese traditional music has deeply touched Japanese audience . Zhou xia is the first young erhu performer of Hunan province to hold her erhu solo concert in Japan.

 

Zhou xia performs some China traditional melodies: Zhu ying yao hong, Yi zhi hua, Hunan folktale Liu yang river, The first erhu rhapsody, and adapted violin melody Csardas, and her composed Okinawa nursery rhymes, and erhu concerto Xue shan hun su. Teacher Zheng Liming of music department assumes the piano accompany.There are no empty seats during the concert, and the number of listeners amounts the top since the opening of Tedako .Her performance attracts all the audience present .To their surprise, Zhou xia is able to handle erhu skills as superb as violin, and to represent music’s thrills and passion.

 

This performance has gained support from Chinese and overseas Chinese community, Friendship Association between Japan and China branch of, Okinawa China Education Culture Association, China student abroad Union of. In August20th Okinawa Times and Ryukyu Shimpo reported that the stretching erhu solo concert by Zhou xia impressed Japanese deeply and they experienced customs and folktales of China, especially by her composed Okinawa nursery rhymes.
